The daily interaction with new and old customers / clients . The autonomy the company allows me to carry out my role as I feel best suits the needs of the company and our clients.  

What does VMBSO do differently as an employer? How do you perceive/describe the culture and values of the company? (e.g.: Team spirit).  

VMBSO has a “family” feel and team spirit is strong amongst the team. We all work together for the common goal. VM Building Solutions fosters an environment of entrepreneurship and ownership through its flexible management approach which allows each market to do what is necessary to promote VMZINC  ( within the guidelines of the business of course!).  

How have you evolved within the company? What skills have you developed and how?   

I originally started with VMZINC as a Sales Manager, after 7 years I progressed to Senior Specification Manager with responsibility for the day-to-day management of the UK and IE specification team and our distribution partners. This new role involved a new set of skills primarily around people management. I was supported in developing these new skills by my manager who mentored me throughout my first year and continues to do so even now.  In addition to this I have at completed the Leading Into the Future Together programme which helped me understand numerous aspects of the business ( VMBSO and Fedrus) .It also allowed me to interact and learn from various colleagues from around the world!
